I really love the Tai Chi class offered at Wushu-Kungfu Fitness Center. I would especially recommend it to people who have medical conditions such as tennis elbow, tendosynovitis, and periarthritis of the shoulder. Although my original intention for the class was simply doing something fun together with my friend, I would say it is indeed an miracle that almost all my joint pain is gone after only a little more than two months of learning and practice. I overused my arms and injured my elbows and wrists while I was doing yard work in the springtime. The pain also spread to both shoulders. I couldn't straighten my arms since then. As a busy mom, my daily routine, which included things such as cooking and cleaning became quite difficult to manage. But amazingly, after about two months' practice of Tai Chi, the wrists, shoulder, and right elbow were completely healed. The left elbow is pain free and on its way to full recovery. I am so thrilled as it is the first time in months that I can straighten my arms without pain. I am very grateful to the Sifus (instructors) who have made this wonderful thing happen. The Sifus are nice, professional, and very patient. The class is divided into small groups, and the coaching is tailored to fit individual needs and attentions. As a Tai Chi beginner, I am quite happy and satisfied with the basic ten step Tai Chi forms. It covers all the training for flexibility, balancing and conscious breathing. It is short and compact but quite effective! But if you are interested in learning more advanced skills, such as higher forms or weapons, there is an array of classes you can take. The Sifus, who are former world champions, will surely lead you to become a master of this exquisite art of Kungfu! The classes are offered on weekends and weekdays. Both WKFFC centers, one in Livingston and one in Parsippany, have nice locations with all the shops and restaurants within a few minutes' proximity. You can combine your Tai Chi class with any other activities easily. What a marvelous thing to do!!!

Last November my daughter started practicing at the Wushu-Kung Fu Fitness Center in Livingston and she has had a wonderful experience. She easily got sick, especially last year. Sometimes she had to stay home for a good week or so. At the beginning I just wanted to let her try it out here as one of the options and was not sure if she could stay or not. To my surprise, she had a great first day and waited eagerly for her next lesson. The first few weeks she got tired easily; her flexibility and balance were not as good as the other students. After half a year’s lessons, she’s much better. She recently got her yellow sash. The amazing thing is she has not been sick for over half a year after starting the practices! The lessons made her stronger both physically and mentally. She was a little bit shy and didn’t talk much unless talked to before, but now she is much more outgoing. She has made lots of friends of all ages while learning martial arts. The staff and coaches are very kind and know how to encourage students to improve. We are very grateful to join this happy family.
