I contacted them to do a simple prenuptial agreement and I had a phone interview with one of the lawyers named Carlos. Everyone seemed professional and polite. However they promised to send me an email invite that included a link to thier portal. After requesting this information several times it became apparent they weren't interested in helping me.

WOW. Please read this if you are considering this firm. I was told I couldn't talk to a lawyer without paying a $180 consultation fee. I have never had to pay a consultation fee to speak to a lawyer. I was doing this for my handicap brother (a gulf war vet) so I paid it. We were assigned to speak with McKenzie StDennis at the firm. We needed her to represent my brother for a simple civil hearing in 5 days. She complained that the hearing date was too soon and suggested filing for an extension, which seemed a good idea. However she was too busy to do so until the day prior to the hearing. A matter of 15 minutes of paperwork! Without the extension, she wouldn't be able to attend the hearing, thus leaving my brother without representation period. I brought this to her attention at which she seemed to care little. My brother liked her so I agreed to move forward. She then asked for a retainer of $3500 to take the case, a simple phone hearing. When I questioned this too, she became defensive, declined the representation, and actually hung up on us. A lawyer that can't handle a simple questioning of their fees is not fit to represent anyone in any matter in my opinion. OH and here's the kicker: This firm states on their website they do FREE 15 minute consultations!!!! I get it, it's good to have a ruthless lawyer on your side, but not a lawyer that's ruthless to you as a client. If you are fishing for a lawyer go elsewhere, here you will only find "a slimy scum-sucking bottom-dwelling scavenger"

What I agreed to and paid for was not what I got. $1,100 for a 2 page template filing is a good old fashioned RIP OFF but what do you expect from a professional that can charge you $200 for a phone consultation right? It all sounds great until you give them the retainer so be careful! Don't get burned like I did call around and try the free consultation attorneys they have been much better for my simple divorce situation. Good luck!!
