I saw a beautiful ad for Ambiente, so I drove 19 miles to the store hoping to pick up a couple of jewelry items for myself and perhaps some Christmas gifts, only to be disappointed. The store was dark and dingy. It looked like nothing had been dusted for months. There was no rhyme or reason to how things were displayed. I was expecting items from all over the world, but it everything seemed to be from Mexico, Mexico, and Mexico. There were a lot of dia de ls muertos items. Too morbid for my taste. The few items of clothing were nothing I would wear. They were downright ugly. Most of the jewelry was behind glass doors which were behind counters so that you could not get close enough to see it, let alone touch it and try it on. The prices were ridiculuously high for the quality. The only good thing I can say is that the woman working behind the counter was very sweet and friendly.
