Fort Sumner Chamber of Commerce and Billy The Kid's Grave-site

I had a great visit to Fort Sumner and in particular benefitted from the generosity of Amanda at the Chamber. I also saw her at the Bosque Redondo museum and one can't ask for a more friendly and helpful person. When I had questions, she went out of her way to find answers and recommend resources. Other museum staff get my thanks as well. Greatly appreciated and I look forward to my next visit.

My mom and I were on our way back home to Michigan from Datil, New Mexico and we decided to go see Billy the Kid's grave since we were so close. The sweet lady that was there to clean since the chamber of commerce was closed by the time we got there, allowed us to go in and buy souvenirs and told us some history of the before we went to see the grave site she also told us a shorter route to where we were planning to stay the night. She went way above and beyond and made our experience even better, I just wish I could remember her name.

The city of Fort Sumner should be ashamed to allow travelers to be caught in their speed trap. The police department is the department of thievery. They may as well dress up like Billy the Kid and just rob people as they travel through.
