I heard a lot of great things about the New Mexico Aero Services, so I was looking forward to get my plane there for maintenance. I called Fernando Nunez and he was very friendly and accommodating, I had a next day appointment to change my magneto, when I got there he inspected the magneto I brought and noticed it wasn’t good and may cause me some issues down the road, he advised against using it. But more so he did a quick inspection of the plane (Piper 180) and pointed out a few squawks but more so he noticed a every serious problem; my main fuel lines was not secured properly and the hose was unserviceable. That was a potential in-flight fire hasard/crash. He replaced the hose with a serviceable one and for FREE! He didn’t charge me for anything, with a big smile, he said that’s on the shop! Every employees they’re a very friendly, very professional, and experienced. Great vibe out there, it’s a place you just wanna be! Great first experience and highly recommend this shop

My owner assisted annual is now complete. My assistance consisted of removing and replacing the interior of the aircraft and all of the inspection panels and removing the two magnetos. For the final part of the inspection I performed the removal, cleaning, testing, inspection, and installation of the spark plugs (with oversight and inspection) while the shop personnel installed and timed the magnetos. As my Cessna 180K was being pulled out of the hangar for engine runs a Stinson Reliant which had pulled up for fuel was unable to start his engine. The folks in the shop fell out to the pilot's assistance to get him back into the air. The overall experience was positive and I came away with new knowledge and understanding of my aircraft. I highly recommend NM Aero Service.

While traveling in my Bonanza I had a minor nose strut issue. I called Fernando Nunez who agreed to help me with this on short notice. Not only did he address the nose strut, but also found a potentially more serious issue and took care of that too. The service was prompt, courteous, and educational. Fernando and his team like to teach and I learned new things about how to maintain my Bonanza. I sincerely appreciate the NM Aero Service team for taking such good care of me and my aircraft on short notice. I highly recommend Fernando Nunez for his knowledge, expertise and thoroughness.

These guys REALLY helped me out. My wife and I stopped in Moriarty when an unseasonably strong cold front cut off our route home. I tied down overnight, and in the morning the plane was covered in ice. I found a New Mexico Aero Service hangar and asked for help. The guys lent me a propane heater and battery charger (since I ran the battery down trying to crank). They wouldn't take any compensation. I'm not sure how we would have deiced the plane and gotten home without them. Thanks so much!!
