The food is good and the setting is great, but the service is absolutely inept. We had a 17 yr old kid who couldn't keep track of what we ordered, never poured wine into empty glasses, got utterly confused when we split the check and we had to cancel all the transactions and walk him through it ourselves. Terrible. On the good side the bouillabaisse is really good.

We came here for Valentine's Day 2015. I researched the menu online and my girlfriend was very excited about the Valentine's Day Prix Fixe menu which included a Tagliatelle with Lobster & Crab Cream Sauce entree which sounded delicious. We actually chose to go here over a couple of other options specifically beceause of this Tagliatelle menu item. When we got to Scrimshaw, we were promptly seated and given the Prix Fixe menu that we saw online--except the ONE DISH MY GF WANTED WASN'T ON THE MENU. We asked why this item was on the menu online but not in the restaurant, and it was explained to us that the Valentine's Day menu on their website was for February 14, 2014. NOT the current year we are in! We asked the waitress if she could ask the chef if they could make the Tagliatelle dish that we saw online, she came back to our table with a negative response from the chef. When I asked what types of beer were on tap, I was told that all of the tap lines were frozen only bottled beer was available. We settled on a bottle of wine. We were not offered any compensation or discount for our frustration regarding the menu which had expired a year prior to our dining experience. The waitress asked if we would be interested in dessert, almost trying to segue into offering this part of the meal as a complimentary appeasement. I explaind to the waitress, "yes, of course we are interested in dessert, as it is part of the prix fixe menu and that we would be paying for it whether we ate it or not." I must say that duck and filet were both cooked perfectly and delicious. But nobody wants their girlfriend to not be able to eat the dish she had been fantasizing about for the latter half of the week Valentine's Day is a day that is supposed to be perfect, and by neglecting to update their Prix Fixe menu online for an entire year, Scrimshaw fell short.
