I had recently closed the teaching chapter of my career and I struggled to clarify what to do next. I had ideas of what I was good at and passionate about, but I didnt know what to do with those ideas. Thats when I found Kori. Our sessions together helped me to realize that I wanted to help people thrive, particularly in a one-on-one setting. Now, I've made major changes and I'm in grad school to become a licensed clinical mental health counselor! There were five months between when school started, so my other accomplishment was getting a retail job as a seasonal sales associate. Id never worked in retail before, so this was a chance to learn new skills, and it turned out I'm pretty good at sales! I won sales awards within the first few weeks. In addition, that retail experience helped me land a job at the campus bookstore! If you're in your job and wondering why it does not feel right, this process helps you realize exactly the reasons. So commit to it. It'll change your life and give you new confidence!

Working with Kori has been a unique, life-changing experience for me. I should have been doing this type of work much sooner. Before working with Kori, I was the owner and director of a West Hartford, Connecticut, preschool for approximately 11 years. Unfortunately, because of Covid, I had to close down the school. Losing a business shook me to my core and forced me to dig deep and look at my next steps. When I finally got to the moment of clarity, it was scary and daunting to think I would start my own company! It's called Trusted Companion Senior Concierge Care, and I also got a real estate license, which was a significant accomplishment. My advice to somebody thinking about doing this program is to research to make sure its the right fit for you, embrace the challenge and fears, allow yourself to dream a little bit, and find out what makes you happy in the job. This program can help you figure that out, and to have a mentor and a coach to guide you and keep you accountable is a critical piece of the puzzle.

Through Koris coaching, I finally took control and rewarded myself with some needed time off to explore my passions. During that time, I earned licenses and accreditations in fields unrelated to my career. If you read the materials, take the workshops, talk things through with Kori, and be open with yourself, you will get the results.

Going into the program, I had already submitted my resignation after seven years in diplomacy. I had plateaued. So the decision to join wasnt about re-adjusting my career; instead, it was about reinventing my career. Of course, I was worried about the money invested and afraid I wouldnt get any results and resort to seeking out any job to continue earning a living. But, knowing Koris professional background and the freedom she demonstrated, having changed careers so many times, reassured me. I knew I could learn more from professional guidance. The most eye-opening part of the exploration process was identifying my values. Before, I couldn't pinpoint why I felt disinterested in a highly regarded job. Knowing my values, I could finally connect the dots. I now have a revised resume with strategies for writing and updating it. I have increased confidence in following through with my passions and plans. I have formally applied for one job and researched other potential prospects. I put a negative professional experience to rest through Kori's kind and thoughtful coaching style. It does not affect me anymore. Anyone thinking of joining the program, I would advise them to be open-minded, be honest with Kori, complete the modules, and be prepared to work on them with her.

Kori produced a meaningful creative virtual team-building workshop for my team of 10. We loved the "Wild Dreaming: Finding The Heart Of Your Why" themed workshop and felt our whole school should do it! Weve never done anything like this before, and it's important to ground ourselves in our work and inspire our growth. I feel so optimistic about this team, and Kori's workshop has launched us into the new school year with a lot of hope and intention.
