Take yourself elsewhere if you have a choice, especially if you are Black! For what its worth, even if it shouldnt matter at an ER, Im insured and generally healthy. Was sent here from CityMD on 4/6/24 and I wish I made the trek to another ER. I felt like I was burdening them and reviewing the notes from the doctor now to send to my regular doctor, they have some lies in there about me requesting to leave before they communicated results. Also, the ER is filthy and there is absolutely no privacy. Doctors will tell your personal information to anyone. This was my first ER experience for myself, and unless Im unconscious, this will not be the place Ill be headed.

the doctors take hours to speak to you every time, and when they do they barely say anything. some of the nurses were very nice but most of the other workers were very rude and it seemed like they didnt care about how i felt. never going back.

Horrible service- overcharged multiple times ($1450 total out-of-pocket charges) because they forgot to ask if I had insurance- my insurance later covered my claim after I pointed out the mistake to their customer service. After they got paid twice both by myself out-of-pocket and by my insurance, they never bothered to refund me the $1450. Incompetent and completely unethical way of handling. How could you not bother to pay back a graduate student whos not working for your mistake and, instead, happily accept getting paid twice? I spent hours on the phone trying to fix this only for you to never plan to repay a student who was in your care.

My mother arrived at Mount Sinai Morningside on 3/7/24 into the ICU unit, 6 East and then was transferred onto 4 West on the night of 3/12/24. I have to commend every single nurse and doctor at this hospital. I'll admit I was very against her coming here because she was first at Mount Sinai West which she has not had good experiences in. Except for one where they did save her life after she got covid for the second time. Other than that though my mother and I refer to Mount Sinai West as the Hell Hole. When they told me that she had to be transferred to their sister hospital I was VERY upset because I was expecting the same care she was receiving which was dismal and no one knowing what the hell was wrong with her. But to my astonishment the care she received while in the ICU was stellar. The first thing I noticed was even though she was VERY sick and weak she had her mind back. Apparently after she had her heart attack on December 17th 2023 they put her on a regiment of medications at New York Presbyterian one of which made her completely lose her mind. It was so severe that I thought she was in the mid stages of Alzheimer's. When I visited her the first day she was at Morningside I was ecstatic that she had her mind back. She thought I was insane cause she felt like death. But the fact she has her mind back, I knew you guys were doing something right. The care she received while in the ICU, 6 East was phenomenal. All of her nurses were very attentive to her needs. There was a point where she needed to be cleaned several times an hour and they did so. When she was finally stable enough to be moved to another floor she was moved to 4 West. My mind was absolutely blown when I went into her room. Maybe I should briefly tell you my story. I was born with hemangioma and lymphangioma of the face and neck. I'll be forty four years old this June and I've stopped counting how many operations I've had after thirty. This was when I was fifteen years old. So I've been in quite a few hospital rooms in my day but I've NEVER seen one like the ones you have on 4 West. Her nurses on this floor are also very attentive to her needs. The physical therapist have also been wonderful. I'm definitely not one to be easily impressed by hospitals, however Mount Sinai Morningside is by far one of the best hospitals I've been in.
