My girlfriend and I sat at the counter for the 75 minute, $85 omakase course. First of all, the sushi was delicious so if that is all you care about then it would be 5 stars. However, if you are like me and believe part of paying $85 for sushi is the overall experience then it was a 2 star night. See below for details... Cons 1. Sushi pace: We were seated 10 minutes late and the sushi chef greatly rushed us by placing the next piece on the tablet before we had grabbed the first. We were not going especially slow and halfway through had to ask the chef to please slow down. If I had to estimate, we were on track for about 45 minutes versus the advertised 75 minutes. 2. Music: the music was too loud and included electronic music. I know people have different preferences but this sort of ruined the relaxed mood we typically have while dining omakase. We did ask them to lower the volume, and to their credit they did. 3. Lighting: the recessed lighting was bright and harsh. We prefer a more intimate lighting scheme indoors. 4. Tipping: I am not an expert of tipping culture but it seemed odd to me that the automated tip percentages were based on the total after tax. I typically calculate the amount based on the pre-tax total. Pros: 1. Sushi: the pieces of sushi were delicious and creative
