DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. Paychex is confused, negligent, and no one communicates with each other. They totally botched our payroll, and the 401K department is a joke. Because we terminated the service AFTER 30 days,(July 2022), they went into our bank account after the (401K) service was cancelled, and stole $1,239.00 IN Feb 2023. AVOID PAYCHEX AT ALL COSTS. This company will LIE, AND MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT to ruin your business. We have the cancellation notices, names, and emails as proof. However, THEY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR ACCOUNT ILLEGALLY AND WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.After reading the other reviews, this company has a history of defrauding small companies. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS HORRIBLE, AND THE SUPERVISORS NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE, NOR RETURN CALLS EITHER. DO ME A FAVOR AND STAY FROM PAYCHEX!

if I could give this company 0 stars I would. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, unresponsive, deceptive, and overall horrible company in my life. We got signed up with a 401k that was not explained to us correctly. the money was NOT supposed to be in the market. it was strictly retirement for the one employee who is ALSO the owner. the money was put into the market, the fees are outrageous and now after trying to cancel this for well over a year now we are being charged $1,500 to terminate this. If we had known any of this we would have never signed up for it. in addition to this we can never get anyone on the phone to help, no response to emails that aren't benefiting their company, paperwork magically isn't received despite having email proof, transferred to 10 different people each time you call just to get "disconnected" Atleast 3 times with NO call back. the list goes on. we officially cancelled on 11/30/22 with the payroll side and we weren't even cancelled! we emailed the termination letter yet continued to get charged. they finally noticed that we weren't using their payroll and told us that we had to them fill out more paperwork. we filled it out and returned it on 1/30/22 and it magically wasn't received. email was forwarded for a third time and my reasoning for "dissatisfaction" was not interpreted by their loss sales specialist. and we got charged the first of the month because this was not cancelled in time by their specialists. don't get screwed by this company like we did. so much time, money, and effort wasted on a company that looks to screw over small business owners.

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I cancelled service in July and they pulled out over 4k of my account for a WC policy that I was assured had been cancelled. I made the claim and was told I would get 2/3 back in 5 businesses days and the rest after the new WC policy was reviewed and nothing has been returned. I also was told my employees would be getting their W2s for the time payroll was ran and through them, and not a single employee has received anything. This is the worst effing company out there. Stay FAR FAR FAR away from them. I will be making a complaint to the BBB.

With Paychex starting Dec. 1 and a nightmare! I question myself why I went back. No person gets back to questions and now I have a Q4 filing error along with W2 wrong. Week 2 and no one will call me back to reslove this! HOPE THIS REVIEW GET THEIR ATTENTNION. Next step calling headquarters of filing with BBB

Called yesterday and was on hold for over an hour before getting an answer - which was to call back tomorrow. On hold today for an hour and 15 minutes and still no answer. No accountability to customers - shareholders be warned.
