For 4 months, I choose to use cold calling and knocking as my marketing strategy to acquire clientele. After months of walking and talking to numerous managers, we did not have any success in obtaining legitimate leads and potential clients. We decided to re-focus our efforts to networking and the Chamber was the first networking group we became members of. Shortly after joining, we had our first success at a "Connect After 5" event put on by the Chamber. It was at this event that we established a relationship and went on to sign our first long term contract!
The Chamber is a great resource for those looking to break into entrepreneurship and find opportunities that can turn into business relationships. I have learned a lot in my short time and since joining the chamber, it has been much easier and more fun conducting business.

Chamber Connections WORK! We've been members of the Charlotte Area Chamber since last October. I attend at least 2 virtual events every month but am thankful for the in-person events that have restarted. I attended one of those recently, and while there were only about a dozen people there, one lady took my card and followed up this week to book us to photograph her Aloft Hotel's Grand Opening! This chamber is GREAT about connecting and helping members get their name out there. DEFINITELY recommend this dynamic group!

Joining the Charlotte Area Chamber of Commerce was one of the best business decisions Ive made. As a new entrepreneur, Ive taken full advantage of the resources available including the entrepreneur forum, and weekly networking events. The Chamber has helped me make connections with other business owners and allowed me to engage with other local business owners when it would be difficult otherwise, thanks to the pandemic. As a solopreneur, its important to spend your time wisely, and I try to never miss a meeting! Ever since the first virtual coffee session I attended, I have felt welcomed and valued and like I found a place where my voice matters and my business is respected. Im a big fan of the Chamber, and thats no joke!
