The pump in our clothes washes stopped working. Nick quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered a replacement pump. The pump arrived in just a few days and he installed it the day after he received it. Nick was prompt, courteous, responsive and professional.

My dishwasher stopped draining, and Nick was available to come take a look within hours of my call, compared to other local companies not being available until the following week. He arrived exactly when he said he would and my issue was resolved within an hour. I'm glad to have discovered Nick & will be calling him with any future appliance problems.

I'd like to add to the recommendations for Nick's Appliance Repair. But first, my sad tale of freezer woe. Some of you may have heard of the famous "100 Hour Brownies." I made these for someone as a gift. This recipe calls for the pan of brownies to be "shock frozen" for 1/2 hour after baking by putting the HOT PAN into the freezer. Now in my refrigerator, the freezer is on the bottom. So I put a cutting board into the top basket of the freezer and put the pan on top for the required half-hour. A week later, I noticed a LOT of ice in the freezer. A consultation with Dr. Google revealed that this can happen WHEN YOU PUT HOT FOODS INTO THE FREEZER. It clogs up the defrost drain hose and you get ice. I called Nick, who responded promptly and came out the next day. He cleared the problem, was kind in the face of my embarrassment at my own stupidity (he did not laugh at me, for which I was truly grateful), and his charge was more than fair for that kind of fast service. The brownies, however, were much appreciated, and they ARE really, ridiculously amazing. I mean seriously. Like They Should Be Illegal good. The moral of this story is twofold: 1) If you have problems with your appliances, call Nick; and 2) If you make these brownies, maybe don't put them in the freezer, especially if your freezer is on the bottom.
