It is a nice small store. They have a variety of eastern European food staples to offer, including frozen pyzy, pierogi, herring, and other traditional foods. They have a nice assortment of candy, including individually wrapped chocolate candy. Would highly recommend it for a unique data night. Bring your squeeze in for a tasting of unusual but delicious assortment of individually wrapped chocolates-its an aphrodisiac as well after all. If you can, purchase the "ptassie mlechko" box of candy (9.99) as a gift. It would be an unique, inexpensive, and fun date.

Aside from what I marked previously, we went today and did a bag and a half shopping for $190 . If you pay card , you HAVE to pay a fee, its the first time in my 7 years in US that I hear that. Also , the bags were slightly smaller than the regular Walmart plastic gray bag. So imagine the prices . We usually do european groceries in Chicago, for 3-400 dollars, you get pretty much a cart full of stuff. Anyway, we bought a 1.6 lb piece of krakowska. It has ABSOLUTELY no expiration date on it . Ive even contacted the producing company, which is in Linden, New Jersey , to see if theres any lot number that could help us figure out the expiration date. Conveniently, theres no lot number either, and no serial for which shift it was produced on . So my $19 piece of meat went to trash . And then I open chocolate candies (we bought like 6 different assortment). All WHITE inside , a very good sign that were either kept in high temperatures, or, most likely , expired . Yes, I do have pics and videos of the products Im talking about , plus two other chocolate bars also expired . We wanted to buy more deli meat , but the color and the look made us decide otherwise. Its just unbelievable!!! I had patients that died from a sub , from an expired beer , from expired cheese . If its a day , two, a week , I dont care, especially for chocolate and candies . But you cannot sell meat and deli expired God knows when , and perhaps washed with dish soap and vinegar like in my country back in the communist times . If there would be - stars, Id go maybe with -10. We drove almost 2 hours one way , to spend money on disappointments. Its nice when you make bank with nave people, that trust you as a honest shop owner, if wed live closer , Id definitely would have drove back and drop off all the goodies. And this comes after all the recent cases up north of people getting sick in european delis. This messes up for all of us , as FDA and CDC might start putting restrictions on the products sold . EDIT:the much respected owner calls customers vicious if you say anything bad about the store. Instead of fixing stuff , which is the entire purpose of reviews, you come here an entire year later to blast your customers. You have NO IDEA who and how I am, you can relate to the reviews, not to customerss personalities . But I guess it took you a year to come up with something , eh ?

Another little hidden gem for foodies in the Greensboro area, especially if you like cured meats or preparing some European dishes yourself at home. Ive been searching for a European market ever since we moved here a few months ago. Stopped in at a few Asian markets, some of which are fantastic for Asian cuisine of course, but nothing that hit that European foodie itch. Well here we are. The place is small and cozy, but that doesnt deter from the amazing selection of items, both sweet and savory, that the place offers. The cured meats are outstanding. We had a try of many cuts which the owner offered without asking. The owner is unbelievably friendly and informative. You want to know about anything in store just ask away. Give it a try if youre in the mood for some European food.
