I am a regular customer of the West Market location and I have tried many different items on the menu, I enjoyed them all. I recommend this restaurant to anyone with the love for real Italian food. Good atmosphere for family or alone. they make me feel at home every time I am there. Good clean place with a great wait staff. I recommend you try it for yourself.

I came here on 04/16/13 with a friend after going to the Battleground Elizabeth's thinking it would at least be comprable since it had the franchise name. Little did I know that would be one of the worst dining mistakes I will ever make in Greensboro. The actual restaurant is small, the table was wet and the menus were stuck to the table. There was also an old smell to the entire restaurant and flies/gnats flying around my head the entire time I was there. We ordered the lunch specials and that came with a drink and an option to add a side salad for 1.95 (with was pretty much a bowl of old wilted salad, one cherry tomato, 1 half slice of cucumber, and a few green olive slices- NOT WORTH IT). We ordered the baked ziti (which is a favorite and vegetarian friendly option at almost all restaurants) lunch special and I added the side salad. The wait staff were practically incompetent (but nice/polite) and when we asked for bread with the dipping oil the waitress looked at us like we were crazy. The oil and vinegar I asked for with my salad (no vinagrette options) were sufficient but the bottles leaked all over the table and that was a mess to have the entire lunch. Here is my biggest issue with this poor excuse of a restaurant- when my baked ziti came, it was hot (but not steaming like most baked dishes are) but in the basil garnish, THERE WAS A WORM ON MY FOOD. It was crawling around on the basil and when I got the waitress' attention, she did not believe me at first until I got my fork and pointed it out to her. She basically gave no reason or even lame excuse for the worm on my food. She asked if I wanted a new plate or something different and so I just asked for it to be remade since I was already having a bad day and wasn't thinking straight. The new plate of baked ziti came without the basil garnish and the waitress gave the excuse at this time that it was just from the fresh basil. I'm betting that they didn't throw out the basil where the worm came from so someone call the health department. The new plate of ziti came so slowly my friend had already finished her food by the time my clean food came and so I ate a little (all the while flies/gnats were flying around my head/food) and asked for a box for the rest of the food (never ate it) and we went to the counter to pay. I think it was the manager at the register because she an a black embroidered shirt on (the waitresses had tshirts on) and I let her know what happened with my food because on the bill the waitress put the full amount of the lunch ziti. The manager/owner/lady at the register's response was basically "Well you got a new plate of food so why are you complaining?" She did not offer a discount or even to comp my meal since there was A WORM IN IT. I was so dumbfounded by this woman's rudeness and total lack of customer service, I did not argue or fight back. I was beyond frustrated with this woman and the total lack of quality of food and customer service. If I can make only one recommendation to readers-- DO NOT GO HERE. Make the trek to either of the Battleground Ave. locations. Terrible customer service and terrible food and overall cleanliness of the restaurant

I've tried the pizza here before and was not impressed, but I came back to try the non-pizza items on the menu. We got lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs, 2 dishes I would consider to be easy at an Italian restaurant. The lasagna didn't even look like lasagna, it was basically some flat noodles in a puddle of tomato sauce. And the tomato sauce was just that: no seasonings, and it was very watery and salty. The meatballs were slightly better, although first they gave me a sub instead of spaghetti, then tried to make me pay extra, even though I already paid the price for the spaghetti. And the sauce on the spaghetti was the same as on the lasagna. Any decent Italian should be ashamed of such a terrible tomato sauce. I can only come to the conclusion that the Italian who runs the restaurant is not any kind of decent chef. Even the bread, which was described as "Homemade bread" was not great. It was very heavy, and I suspect it was the same dough they use to make the pizza crusts. I will not be returning.
