My daughter (18 yrs) got caught doing 94 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on I-77 at 2am. This resulted in two severe traffic tickets, one for speeding and one for reckless wanton disregard safety of others. There was no payment of ticket only mandatory appearance in court. This was her first offence in a year and half of driving. We lived in florida. Iredell county is noted for being strict with lawbreakers. We went online and received several advertisements for lawyers in the mail. I (her mom) knew she needed a lawyer to defend her case, to put her in the best position possible. I am a convenient store cashier sending her daughter to college. This was the first time I need a lawyer for anything. I was very leary about promises of lawyers. When I called some lawyers, I got various pictures of what to do about the situation. He was open to possibilities on improving the situation such as voluntarily Basic Driver Improvement Course. Therefore, not only was he able to drop the careless and reckless driving ticket but also reduce to speeding 14 over the posted speed limit (2 insurance points). He did what he said he would do, which was the best scenario outcome possible. So I am very grateful to him. I think the world of my daughter. She is 18 yrs old, she made a mistake. She learned from it. She took the defensive driving course in florida. Therefore, this event can be put behind her with minimal damage. These early years of being an adult are hard. Experience comes with a price. Steven Follum understood how he could help us. He has experience dealing with traffic citations for out-of-state drivers. I am very happy, we pick him.
