Short's Roofing & Cedar Shake

This organization put a new roof on our house this Spring. Two Sundays ago (October 8, 2017) when we had a hard rain, our roof leaked in 3 places in one room. We had a leak in another area less than a month after getting the roof replaced, but it wasn't nearly as bad as this one. On October 8th, within 10 minutes we had 1 inch of water in the large storage containers that we placed under the leaks. When my husband showed the gentleman the video we took of the water pouring down through our ceiling fan, the gentleman's response was, "We did the best we could." I wonder what the worst you could do would look like. When asked for their insurance information, he refused to respond. We are not angry with them, but we do feel that business is business and that Short's Roofing & Cedar Shake should make this right. As it stands, we've spent nearly $4000.00 to replace a roof that was leak-free when we bought it in 2012 and for at least 20 years when Ronnie owned the house. As for WHY we replaced it well that's the funniest part of all...we replaced it because it was getting old and we wanted to make sure it didn't leak! Jokes on us I guess. Feel free to believe the reviews that suddenly popped up after I posted my honest review and photos to back it up (a coincidence I'm sure), but you've been warned.

Mr. Short is a working owner that puts his over thirty-five years of experience and his reputation on the line with ever job no matter how long or difficult the situation. This is an honest, local and trusted contractor that hammers the nails and fixes other contractors mistakes.

Shorts Roofing fixed and restored my houses difficult roof. My house’s roof was over thirty years old with multiple leaks poorly ran valleys, missing shingles and broken vents. Mr Short had to replace fourteen sheets of plywood that were rotten, run all new ridge vents, repair holes, face boards the works. He even fixed my gutters at no additional cost to me that had been put up incorrectly just four months earlier by another contractor. My roof has the best architecture shingles, thickest titanium felt, hammered (not air gunned which is harmful to roofs), looks excellent and done by an honest hard working hands, honest contractor. My house is more than 600 square feet bigger than my neighbors house and I paid $1500 less with better roofing materials. Wonderful job, excellent quality and great price.
