Despite being closed due to the COVID-19 we felt the hospitality of this beautifully located waterfront Chamber of Commerce. It was established in 1904! The back porch offers respite and rocking chairs. We enjoyed our take out meal (restaurants aren't open for anything except take-out) there as the sunset over the Pamlico River. There is much to take in during a visit. Outdoor "high voltage" art, waterfront walk, event gazebos, boat docks, and sunsets. Had the Chamber been open it's regular hours: 9-4 Monday-Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10-4, we would have visited the Visitors Center to learn more about the current events happening and business updates in the Original Washington and learned about the City's history dating back to 1776.

Recently, I attended a marketing workshop with guest speaker Melanie Diehl. Melanie was very informative and I walked away with valuable knowledge regarding social media and online reviews. Thank you to the staff of the Washington-Beaufort Co. Chamber of Commerce for hosting this event. Looking forward to the next workshop!
