    I have known the owner of this company, Hernan Lois, for 10 years or so and thought of him as a friend. In the past decade I submitted only one claim for flooding of my home following a Hurricane, receiving only $1200? for that one-and-only claim. My home has withstood at least 5 hurricanes and still has plastic on the roof since an adjuster deemed the roof did not need replacing. My husband was nearly killed in a car accident last October 2023 with a heart contusion and ICU care. Since my husband was not at fault for this nearly fatal car accident, our attorney wanted to submit a claim to my insurance carrier through our agent of many years, Hernan Lois. Mr Lois seemed to be unaware that a married couple are covered under both of our separate car insurance policies per a North Carolina statute. HE INSTEAD SENT NASTY TEXTS ACCUSING ME OF INSURANCE FRAUD, A FELONY AND HUNG UP ON A 3 WAY CALL WITH MY ATTORNEY AND MYSELF. His texts were outrageously unprofessional as if he were going to have to personally pay for a claim on my car insurance coverage that I have paid for for many years. This occurred on a Friday afternoon so I was unable to switch to another agent quickly but am doing so now 4 days after his horrible behavior, texts and phone call with my attorney. Any decent human being would have asked about my husband, his well being and recovery but NOT HERNAN LOIS. I still dont understand what triggered his horrible behavior and hope I NEVER ENCOUNTER ANOTHER INSURANCE AGENT LIKE HERNAN LOIS. I am considering reporting him to the state insurance commission. For now with multiple coverages paid in full and up-to-date on homes and 3 cars, I am switching to another agent. I would NEVER RECOMMEND HERNAN LOIS TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT HAVE A RARE CLAIM WITH THIS AGENT. He does not appear to have the temperament for this profession or perhaps just cant handle paying claims when necessary. Why do we pay huge sums of money for insurance if not easily utilized when needed?? Aww, I received a response from Hernan Lois after my review of his business and he says he was counseling mewhat a laugh. He only took my premiums for a decade without ANY COUNSEL and if he wants to dispute that then provide the recorded phone calls!!! I have the proof of his behavior in the nasty texts he sent to me!!! He accused me of insurance fraud in texts which I am submitting to the insurance commission and obviously has a temper since he hung up on me and my attorney as well as others who have reviewed him since I read his other poor reviews! I would love the recording of our 3 way conversation with my attorney so we can show his undeniable lack of professionalism. If he continues to write lies, I will sue for libel. Every word I have written is true and witnessed by my attorney!! Do not comment again, Hernan Lous or this will be pursued further. FYI, I NEVER ACCUSED YOU OF HARASSMENT, that was my attorney who used those words after I sent him the nasty texts you sent to me!!! And what does a high Liability individual mean since you have only received one claim from me for flooding in 10 years and how dare you say I am not a responsible client. We will see what the DOI has to say about your unprofessional name calling!!!

    I was a longtime customer of this carrier. While they can get you some of the best rates for the policies required for coastal homes, they are not reliable to review your policies and increase your rates ethically. After approximately 6 years of a relationship with Hernan as my agent, he yelled at me on the phone when I called to review the details of why my rates were steadily increasing and found he added coverage. I inquired as to why $100,000 worth of coverage was added to my policy on a structure that I did not have on my property, and he became aggressive and hostile yelling at me in response. I asked to speak with someone else after he yelled at me and he responded with, "NO!" along with other inappropriate comments. I pulled up his google reviews and found that he has a history of yelling at his customers and even called some of them liars. I have terminal cancer and did not have time to address this in the way I would have otherwise but I transferred my policies to another agency so my wife would not have to deal with such a toxic personality should I not survive. I lost all trust in this company after extensive experience with them. I have great empathy for the several wonderful women I spoke with in this office over the years, but I encourage prospective clients to read the 1-star reviews before entering a relationship here and seriously consider going with a different company. No one needs this kind of unnecessary hostility and unprofessionalism in their lives.

I was advising you and you called it harassment, and you continue to be nasty as always with this review. My team and I have always catered to your needs, though you are not responsive or communicative via phone, email, or texts... Always late with your payments and lapses in coverage. It doesn't hurt my feelings that you are now mad at me. You are a high liability individual and I desire to not represent you anymore. Please go elsewhere. My firm is for responsible clients only!

I don’t yell… all my calls are recorded and I’ll share that recording with you. Rate increases are mandated by the Department of insurance, and I have no control over it. Educate yourself before you bad mouth me
