Alright, I'm not sure where to start so I guess I'll begin here. I'm new to the minot area and not familiar with a lot of the restaurants in the area. My boyfriend has been here 4 years and went to SRB a few years ago, and raved about the placed. I was very excited to try it out as I love a good brewery and beer and I'm a sucker for great food. When I tell you I was disappointed at the least. Walked in, one other table was there. A little odd for a brewery as the ones I've always been too are lively and full of people. I will later find out why it's more than likely dead. Waitress looked at us from behind the bar and said sit wherever. She was friendly enough. Let's start with the beer. Tried a few and settled on the one with the highest ABV in hopes I could chug it down and not notice the taste. Beer selection is unappealing at best. My boyfriend picked a lighter beer which was ok until it got warm which didn't take long because the beer was already fairly warm. We love a good cold, crisp beer and this was not it. Now let's move on to the food. I was so excited reading over this menu. Huge fan of Elk and Bison and both were on the menu and I was STOKED. We started off with two apps. I got the poutine with brats and my boyfriend got the elk chili and beer cheese fries. All was subpar at best. The poutine was not a classic poutine. Cheese curds were deep fried (weird) and they tasted awful. The brat was cooked to death. Absolutely dry and awful. The gravy.....flavorless and no hint of stout whatsoever. The fries really held this dish together. As for the elk chili and beer cheese. Absolutely awful. The fact that my boyfriend at as much as he did to be nice was astounding to me. Let's start with the elk chili. This was a poor marinara at best. We even told the waitress that we thought maybe a tomato soup had been put on by accident and she shot back with "it's a western style chili with carrots to soak up the acidity, and no beans. Odd since the western style elk chili that I always make has never tasted like marinara. Also used carrots to soak up acidity but take them out!!! Gross. Also only found one little tiny piece of elk. Horribly disappointing. Now on to the main course. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich with the egg hard friend and sweet potato fries and my boyfriend go the mushroom and Swiss with beer batter fries. Let me start by saying, both of the fries were so so good. They were the best thing we had eaten all night. The meatloaf. The egg was still mushy and jelly in the middle and the sandwich was just a burger patty wrapped in bacon and COOKED TO DEATH. It's already dead AND pre cooked being meatloaf, but let's just burn it and make sure it's really dead and cooked. Dry, no seasoning of any sort not even the bacon had flavor!!!! The BBQ sauce was overly sweet and again, flavorless. The mushroom Swiss burger was just as bad, didn't ask about temp and was cooked to death and drier than dirt. It said sautéed mushrooms and onions and they were hardly cooked. Also flavorless and just nasty. The pickles and ranch for my sweet potato fries were also tasty. My last issue is that the waitress saw the amount of food we didn't eat and never batted an eye, showed no concern for why the food was hardly eaten. The fact that we paid 75 dollars for all of this makes me sick. Or maybe it's the weird tasting cheese curds. All in all save your time and just go to JL Beers.

Kinda lame and boring. Beers I had were terrible and the burger was basic. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty dead not a happening place at all. But hey give it chance you might enjoy it better than I.
