Leesburg Lane Apartments

This place is trash, look elsewhere, trust me. They charged me to replace a working smoke detector upon move out and for every millisecond it took for them to clean doorknobs upon move out. Bunch of crooks and money hungry individual owning and working here in my opinion.

you don't want to live here unless you have no other options. Staff is rude and dishonest and upkeep is laughable at best.

Cheap place, will not get your deposit back so TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS. Landlord is very predatory with money and will make you pay for renovations. I moved in June 2020. The place has a crunchy bit in the carpet in the living room and was dirty. When I asked if it would be cleaned, I was told yes by the leasing manager (who is no longer there). Surprise...it wasn't. But I needed somewhere and at $735/mo, it was worth it. After moving in, it was clear why the place was so cheap. The tubs chip and when I asked to have it repainted, I was told it would take multiple days (I would have to go multiple days without showering simply for them to repaint) and I was told it would chip again, so I shouldn't bother. I was then charged for this despite what I was told. The air system smells very weird (I was told this was normal). Also, the kitchen and bathroom were so gross when I moved in, but I figured that stuff would be cleaned as apart of normal weat and tear. NOPE I was charged for cleaning the whole apartment, despite me scrubbing and scrubbing before i left. My cat left a couple holes in the carpet and I knew I would have to pay for those, but they charged me for replacing the ENTIRE carpet. The place itself was a nice first apartment, but the landlord is clearly a predator who will charge you for renovations, even if you didn't do it. Only move here if you have no other choice.

During my stay from February 2020 to 2022, it was definitely a safe location. Staff would drop a notice in your mailbox when they were checking apartments smoke detectors or giving us a heads up when the parking lot was being repaved. Parking itself was first come for good spots. During the winter, they would plow the snow off the driveways and sidewalks, however the those walkways could still be icy and hazardous. I was warned before and I'll warn the future tenants, the landlord does NOT like to give you back your full security deposit. I spent several days cleaning, wiping, scrubbing various spots and locations in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc. I even told the staff that bathroom tub paint glaze was chipping away and anything else I thought I should bring up before turning in the keys. The landlord still took HALF my security deposit before I received the check a month later. I thought I had been a good fair tenant to them, always dropping off the month's rent a month ahead even when I was unemployed after losing my job in 2020 for 6 months. Just wanted to share my experience to future tenants for what to expect before signing a lease here, which they only do a year lease, no exceptions.
