    Recently had surgery to replace a disc in my cervical spine. Every time I call im told they have all the information required to process my short term disability. But when I check the status online it states they need additional information which I was told they already have.

    What a joke this company is. Never again will I pay extra to have short and long term disability coverage. They will still deny you, say it's a preexisting condition even if you have never had this injury before. Everytime I called UNUM(for 2 1/2 months) I was told something different and when I would ask a question I would never get an answer they would just say the same things over and over as they are reading scripted responses which are yes I understand and I'm sorry. Ok but I would like to know why I am given different info with each call and then you can't even talk with a supervisor. Good luck to anyone that has to deal with them. I will be saving that cost every pay period now. Wish I could get a refund. I have been told by several other people that they had very similar experiences with this company. So maybe time to go to the BBB. I wouldn't even gave them 1 star but Google wouldn't let me leave it blank.
