Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

The food was just okay. I have been to many Golden Corral through the years and in many states but this is the worse. We went around 1pm and it wasn't very crowded. So the food was either dried out or barely any food in the container like the mashed potatoes or fried chicken. The bathroom was the worse. I wish I could take a picture of the smell. It almost smelled like sewer. The air conditioner wasn't quite working either. It was just a bad experience. My kids enjoyed the dessert bar. That's why I didn't give this place 1 star. My family thought dessert bar was great.

Has become the worst Golden Corral of all time. As soon as you enter, you are hit with the sulfur sewage smell which wreaks over the whole place. I had a coupon and nowhere else to go so I tried to get past this. Unfortunately, things didn't get much better. Having worked at a buffet before, the number 1 rule is to ALWAYS keep the food stocked. As soon as something runs out, food should be prepped and ready to go on the line. Not here. No chicken for 10 plus minutes, no rolls for 15 minutes, and no mash potatoes for another 10 minutes. These are there 3 "signature" dishes! I would try the other Corral in town but this one never again. Wasn't even worth the discount.

My mom and I come get carry outs here, and mine are usually pretty consistent and the same thing everytime. She loves the meatloaf and sesame chicken (even though she's not supposed to eat the sesame seeds). Unfortunately from time to time, those options won't be out and she will go at different times of the day to try and get it. She got frustrated last week and asked to speak with a manager, just to find out what time she needs to come in order to get what she wants. The manager, Jeffrey I believe his name was, came out to listen and solved the problem right way. He was kind, attentive, and assured her he would sort her out that day. He managed to whip up some sesame chicken, and even prepared a smaller batch without the seeds for her. It's little things like that that go a long way. The rest of the crew there is always happy and helpful, probably the best Golden Corral I've been to in Columbus. Thank you for making my mom's day

My family went to Golden Corral for a Fathers Day breakfast. I chose to go there due to previous experience and convenience. I had not visited this restaurant in several year due to moving out of the area, but was passing through and felt it would be great. I couldn't have been more wrong. After being sat at my table and waited on my family and I went to begin getting our food only to find most things were empty. No eggs, pancakes, sausage, etc. Feeling like, ok...its fathers day, they are busy, give them some slack. Well, we waited and waited and waited some more. It was about 945am when we arrived and I thought maybe we had just missed a huge rush and they were trying to catch up? (45min later food was still not being refilled) No, I was then told by another guest that their server had said that a manager and a line cook had called off. Meanwhile, I am noticing other employees sitting around not assisting with anything. When the boss is away, the workers stop working I guess. Except for our server who was fielding all the complaints and doing her best in a no win situation. I waited in line for the omlet station and the worker got up and never returned with multiple people waiting in line, food still was not being refilled and a line out the door of people waiting. They had stopped allowing people in to allow the "workers" to catch up. Meanwhile I see who I believe is another manager sitting at a table along the wall near the desserts talking to the cashier. Neither of them had a care in the world laughing and smiling. Guess I missed the joke. It would also have been nice if they had told people upon entry that they were a little behind on food service due to.....A)., B)., C)....but maybe that requires thought. I should have gotten a refund and handed the money to my server, the only one who deserved it. I will never go back. Food was horrible as expected with the way it was being operated today. I feel sorry for some of the employees who were actually trying to do their best given the circumstances. Golden Corral, Thanks for a no so great start to fathers day. At least the worst is over, and the rest of the day can be spent with my family, which is really all that matters.

$15+ for dinner & a fountain drink per adult for this poor quality of food and poor silverware/plates cleanliness? At least replace the stained plates, no one would like to eat on those. The food doesn't taste good nor fresh. I would never come back or recommend this place to anyone unless they make some changes. One star for the nice waitress who provided great customer service.
