We wanted an outdoor handrail for the front steps but instead of putting it into the ground next to the steps he wanted to make it easy on himself and attach it into the concrete steps with tap-con screws. Also, instead of a right-side handrail he mistakenly made it for the left-side and then wanted to set it in from the edge about 10 inches. He always had some excuse why it wouldn't work nearer to the outer edge of the steps like interference (for him) with our small bushes. Later he said the bushes would need to be completely removed (because of roots) in order to put posts into the ground! We also paid half up front. We tried several times to contact him by phone and left messages and sent him emails, but he never replied. After sending him a certified letter and contacting the AG's office he called us. I allowed him to keep some money in order to get the bulk of our deposit refunded. Next Spring we'll contact people who have 5 Star reviews and are much better communicators. We'll get every detail in writing and have the handrail put into the ground next to the steps.
