Went thru the entire process to be hired only connecting with appropriate personnel. Did the DOT physical (approved), only to be told by the branch manager that he "didn't think I could do the job" and tried to tell me that because I had diabetes and a total knee replacement I would not be able to stand for hours in all kinds of weather and that he was a physical ian for 20 years. But he was not MY physician and could not possibly know my situation. Told him that I have worked directing cars for 25 years in ALL SORTS OF WEATHER (rain, snow, sleet heat) and he tried to say that this was not the same because I had to watch for traffic. When I went for my initial interview, he also was what I thought was trying to dissuade other applicants from applying, even telling 1 young woman that if she had taken any type of drugs recently she would not pass the drug test. Branch manager (Don) in my opinion cannot be trusted to give a straight and TRUETHFUL answer. I would NEVER EVER recommend ANYONE to apply for any type of position.
