American Leak detection was contacted on behalf of my insurance company for a second opinion and to CONFiRM the origin of leak that we were already aware of. They came out confirmed the leak (took pictures for report) and was in and out under 10 minutes and charged my insurance company $692 dollars. Talk about EXPENSIVE!! I would not recommend due to cost, I do no believe such amount should have been charged with a simply confirm of a leak. Now, previously they had come out (separate claim and did a thorough inspection, which would have been worth the price. Please discuss dollars amounts prior to the company arriving and document the actual services that were done.

Truly a waste of money. I paid them $625 to detect a leak under my driveway. They came to my house and marked a spot that logically would not make any sense unless the underground line zigged and zagged from the source at the street to the line in my laundry room. When I mentioned that to the tech he said he was supremely confident and drew a 1 foot by 1 foot box around the “X” that he marked and he was cocky in assuring me that the leak was there. I then had Killeen Plumbing come to my house and they drilled 6 feet under ground and 3 feet in either direction of the box drawn by ALD’s tech. There was no line in sight. Therefore ALD’s work was not only useless but resulted in unnecessary drilling and filling that I had to pay for. ALD was also unwilling to provide any refund to me, so they have pocketed my $625 and caused me to pay an unnecessary extra $1200 to Killeen Plumbing. Overall, their service was completely useless to me. However, if you are someone reading this who is looking for an employment opportunity in which 20 minutes of work earns $625 with no guarantee of accuracy, I would recommend you become an ALD service provider in your area.

I was referred to American Leak Detection to find a leak in my pool. I spoke to Matt and he assured me he would send his technician right out to find the leak and guarantee he would find it. Unfortunately what he did is caused a leak after he found one. While working on my pool they broke a fitting on my chlorinator and it was leaking all over the floor. The water alarm went off. On top of that when they left they left writing on the floor of the pool deck, they left three of the doors open and my dog almost got out, and did not want to come back out and fix the leak. I called and spoke to Matt. Matt came out a couple days later and try to fix it. He asked me to check it right after he fixed it was working fine. We spoke about a difference in pricing of $95. I thought the company would be a standup company and for all the inconvenience they would waive it but Matt demanded it. I let him know that I didn’t believe that the charge was $95 higher but I would check my text messages. I have all this on video. Later that evening I sent him a text with a video showing that it was still leaking all over the floor. I spoke to Matt today and he was unprofessional and basically hung up on me. He’s not gonna come over and fix my leak. I’m going to hire a separate plumber to fix the leak and send him the bill. I sure hope this company is a standup company and they take care of this. Thank you
