I had them clean and inspect my chimney a few months back and we'll it didn't turn out so well. First off the guy was polite and punctual so no fault there. However when the work began, he came in with this giant vacuum and didn't have something set up, it blew every bit of debris back into the living room. He inspected the inside firebox and went and climbed to the top. He sweeps and inspects from up there. Comes back down and vacuums again. Chimney caps were installed within five minutes of the sweep being done. He tells me part of my flue needs repaired. He was charging $220 for that. Fast forward to that night, I hear some noises, only to go outside and find this racoon trying to get out, it is now trapped. I had them removed the following day and a couple days later it climbed out. He claimed that it climbed in-between the sweep and installing the caps. Fasr forward to this past weekend after I got new caps installed and the chimney repaired, I go and see no lever or chain to mess with. My smoke test was not working out so I pulled some things apart only to find the flue is stuffed with insulation and a bunch of black chunks. So in the end, not sure what I paid for, but I would not recommend this company to do a chimney sweep or inspection.
