image As some of ya'all know that we converted our garage into a bigger living space for our family. On that note, I feel it is my responsibility to warn others. DO NOT HIRE JTPR Construction. We choose to hire a contractor so we didn't have to worry about the project and it's phrases. It was complete mess from day one. Mr Joel Woods was are contact with the company. His lack of communication was apparent at the very beginning. The first month, workers would show up in the afternoon and stay well past 10pm. One night, they were drinking beer on my property. When we discussed this with Mr Woods he blow it off and said that Construction for ya. When I had an issue with one of the walls, he sent his foreman out. Who had no clue about my project and confessed he couldn't speak Spanish therefore he couldn't communicate with the workers. I was handling the project until Mr Woods decided he wasn't gonna listen to a woman. So Jason took over. We are well into June and the project looks like garbage. Nothing is completed. The front of the house is missing a window, no siding, the bathroom totally unfinished, the drywall not completed, and etc. At this time Mr Woods is pressuring us to get the flooring. We decline and refuse to go any farther until we can see better results. He came to our home and Jason walked him around pointing out the issues. Mr Woods argued about every concern and tried to justify his work. Even told us to sue Mr Tilley. Then this dirt bag had the nerve to tell my husband, if he would quit talking then he could do his job. That was the last time Mr Woods was allowed on my property. When we tried to fire Mr Woods, he asked to settle for $3000 to move the dumpster out of our driveway. We declined.
We had reasonable concerns. This was our project and my husband's hard earned money. And this sh*t bag comes to my house and disrespects us. I think ya all know me better than that. This is 750 square feet project, 4 walls, 2 windows, a bit of plumbing and electrical work, this wasn't an extreme make over.
Anyways, Jason called Mr Joey Tilley, the boss of the company. Mr Woods plays like he is the boss, he is NOT. Mr Tilley was on vacation and we made an appointment for the following week (this is the end of June). Mr Tilley was obviously wasn't happy about the situation. He jumped right in to get our project done. Mr Tilley calls Mr Woods "his project". Several workers who came to the house (which all workers were very nice and respectful), explained how they refuse to work for Mr Woods. That he doesn't talk nicely to them, checks bouncing, refusing to pay thier asking price for the job, etc etc etc. Did I mention Mr Tilley did NOT have a copy of our contract? Mr Woods is a con artist. And Mr Tilley still employs him. So the floor and walls get painted. We decided on 3 mini splits for the hvac system. What a nightmare that was!!!
So Mr Woods hire hvac guys to install the system. They didn't know how too. So system was put in wrong. The freon leaked out, the drainage tubes were twisted, and there was a leak in the attic. Again, if it could go south it did. Thankfully, Evans heating and cooling were a very experienced and professional company. They redid the whole thing. Finally the project is finished after 2 months (May 1st to July 28th) and butt load headaches and tears. We are as satisfied as we are gonna be.
PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING:
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!
Even tho Mr Tiley came in and finished the job. He has to be held accountable for the people he hires. Mr Tilley is aware of how Mr Woods acts and talks to his customers. He still chooses to keep him employed.
So Mr Joey Tilley is 100% responsible for everything that happened at my home.

image Hired JTPR to remodel bathrooms. Joey was very helpful and the most responsive contractor Ive ever used. There were a few hiccups but Joey fixed the problems with no arguments. Bathrooms turned out great. Have JTPR doing a kitchen remodel now that has been delayed by supply chain issues. Hope to give another good review when we finish that. I recommend. Services: Plumbing fixture installation, Tile work installation, Interior painting, Remodeling, Drywall repair

image JT has been great to work with. He's very responsive and costs are reasonable. He remodeled two bathrooms for us and is getting ready to do a complete kitchen remodel. Schedules have been crazy due to supply chain issues but JT has stayed in touch and is keeping us informed. I plan on using JT for future work and recommend him.

image Do not hire JTRP Construction, aka JTRP Design. The owner is Joey Tilley. I however, have not dealt with him. I have dealt with Joel Wood. Joel is the person who bid the job on my home. After having a horrible experience with him, I found out he had his own company at one time called MKA Construction. This company had bad reviews on yelp, BBB, and porch.com. Upon further reviews, JTRP also has bad reviews. My initial search showed good reviews on JTRP Construction.I signed a contract with Joel Wood on December 28, 2021. I gave him $3500.00 cash and did not get a receipt as he was going to get it to me. I acknowledge giving cash and not getting a receipt right away was my fault. At this time, Joel told me the job would take approximately 1 week. There was some increment weather at play that did delay the job. They finally started the job on January 17, 2022. On the first day there, they did not have all the material, but still decided to start the demo of the old siding. I noticed once they started placing the hardie siding they did not install the butt joint flashing. I preceded to text Joel and ask why and he told me it would be there the next day and they would slide them behind the already installed siding. When they did that, you were able to see them. At this point, I asked Joel if everything was going to be done according to the recommendations on the James Hardie website. He assured me it would be, but it was not.The first siding crew chopped up the siding placing it and Joel said it should be fixed with bondo, but that was a lie. Instead, they used caulking. Prior to this, Joel sent me a pic of where I wanted the siding to start. His text said 8ft or 9ft. I responded with a pic that said 8ft 3ish or 8ft 4. They went to 9 ft anyway. At this time, I spoke to Joel about it. (I found out he does not communicate with his crew and his crew is just sub-contractors). The siding job looks horrible with cuts and gouges and the trim also looks horrible. One corner of trim had to be replaced 4 times. Other trims on the corners had gaps of ¼ inch, and I also asked him to replace those. The trim around the windows also had to be redone. The time around the front door was scabbed with 2 pieces of scraps on each side of the door. The trim was not flushed. The soffit was supposed to be a breathable soffit but did not tell me they did not make it for my size of my home until I asked why they used siding for the soffit and why he went the cheapest way and added small, cheap vents. During this time, they lost parts of the venting to my house, a light cover on my house and they broke the internet pipe the wires ran through. They failed to pick up their nails, and when I did, I had a tote full of them.  When I called him out on it, and after I picked them up, he quickly did a run with a magnet thru my yard.On the siding at the bottom of a window, they cut a piece into try to match the siding. Joel had 3 different crews attempt to fix each other's mistakes on the siding and trim. The 2nd crew was a subcontractor and mentioned he wanted to finish the job but he was wanting to get paid from Joel. Prior to the siding job being "completed", Joel requested the 2nd or the 3 payments to finish buying materials. This was given the end of January. There were 2 different pain crews. The 1st paint crew painted the house with what looked to be 1 coat of paint because of the splotchiness that was seen after it dried and part of the original yellow color of the siding was bleeding threw. I text Joel to come look at the pain job. We walked the house and I showed him what I thought to be the flaws. He told me he agreed the house needed a repaint. He said if it was touched up, since it was satin paint, you would see the imperfections. On what I believe was April 16th, he sent the 2nd crew out to paint. It was extremely windy that day. When I get home, the paint job was worse than before and the front of the house was not painted great either and the paint job turned out to be a touch up. The paint around windows on the front of the house now look 2 toned. April 19th, another guy is out to fix caulking, soffit, trim, trim under the door, caulking around the door, paint touch ups and replaced the vent and light cover that previously went missing. After this time, Joel text me asking me for final payment. I asked if he had come out to look at the paint job. He stated he had seen pictures. This had happened before where he went off pictures and did not come out to look the work over. I asked Joel for a repaint of the house. He will not do it. He did not stand by his word. He said I had 2 choices. 1) He could take 350 dollars off of the final payment which was 10% of the remaining balance and I do not post any negative reviews, or 2) I mark everything that I did not approve of and his painter would do touchups. He also wanted me to sign off on these touchups the day of painting before the paint would even have time to dry completely. I
