I visit this camp off and on when I attend an annual astronomy event hosted there. For astronomy this place is a great location away from all the light pollution and with enough infrastructure to make a multi day experience a comfortable one.
Located just a few miles from the New Mexico border and Colorado border this is a pretty remote place. Your nearest gas stations and restaurants are a half hour drive away.
The property is well maintained and offer everything needed to host a nice event at a remote away from the city location.
The Black Mesa park located nearby is a nice place to go and wander around. Other things like indian ruins, a dormant volcano caldera and nature paths are day trips away from this location which makes it a decent place to camp or attend events.
