Its cheap. The evening front desk woman was new and very polite. Firstly, the toilet doesnt work and hardly flushed. It reeks of cigarettes and you may have neighbors who chain smoke and loudly argue over the phone outside your door whenever like I did. Well, whatever. They can use the balcony too and they stopped before bed.
Its dirty on the outside, especially on the pool covering , the elevator, stairs, and any place thats a public area beyond the lobby. The stairs and the elevator are both scary. Theres a step on the elevator that is wood instead of concrete like the rest. The elevator jerks you around. However, the room was impeccable. The bath was so comfy I wanted to take it back with me, the room smelled good, there was a comfy bed, and the tv was great.
The issue I had was that around 3am, my lovely dog (who I am so grateful to have) alerted us to the bolted door being jiggled and almost forcibly opened. of course, being a woman traveler, this is your worst nightmare. One can see inside the room if they look at the curtains through the right angle which would show them someone looking at the peep hole. I saw a man in a gray hoodie with the hood up. He kept on and did this three times back to back while I called the front desk scared. The overnight lady said oh I know him. Ill tell him hes got the wrong room. Thanks. And hung up!! No apology or anything. Well, he did this twice more before giving up. We did not get much more sleep.
I went down to the front desk later before check out to ask the policy on this and the woman furrowed her brow at me as if I did something wrong and said it was me you called. Id just tell him to get lost. Trust me, if he got in he wouldnt do anything. Hes harmless. What? How do you know this? And if he got in, Id just be told to get over it, basically? Of course this is unacceptable. I wanted an apology but now I do not feel safe staying at this location or any quality inns in the future. This is insane that I was told this way more than the situation with the guy trying to get into the room.
