image I was at another insurance place, they wanted to add $240 extra for my 17 year old on my policy, I went to State Farm, and they saved me $200, it's a great place to get your insurance, especially if you have a teenager added, State Farm works with you... Love this place!

image 9/7/23- I have been waiting a refund check since April. Donna is rude, hung up on me because she didnt want to answer questions and was telling me different information than another person employed here. Then refused to answer the phone. Reporting to corporate now. Corporate has confirmed Donna has not been truthful with me. Big shocker.
Rude, Unprofessional & would rather play on his phone than help his customers!!! Erics response to a problem thats her problem.

We talked to a few other insurance companies and they didnt get it done like she did. She was quick and stayed on top of it.

image This is going to be a LONG review. But to preface state farm's billing system is atrocious and their employees don't seem to know what is going on and quickly blame the consumer. They take no responsibility for their mistakes. And don't communicate changes with their clients.
I have switched state farm agents 3 times within the past year. Back in December a payment of mine did not go through due to me no longer using a specific bank account. I made 3 separate payments (I even paid a little more than what was due) to cover this missed payment, back then I used Todd Brown agency. I called and asked the office if they received those payments, because I did not want them to cancel my policy. They told me the original payment of 92 dollars went through and that it wasn't necessary for me to have made those "additional" payments. Now, I know my finances and bank information pretty well and I advised them that it did not go through and those three separate payments were necessary. Long story short the lady at Todd Brown told me to stop messing with stuff because I'm probably going to cause more issues with the system. So I did. They stated they would refund me the additional charges.
I switched agencies to Mark Welty, who was no help either and actually worse than Todd Brown's staff! I had waited for about a week for the refund, it never came. So, I called the office to ask about it. They stated they showed the original payment of 92 did not actually go through so, they canceled the refund and used the 3 separate payments to cover December's missed payment, they said they got a new billing system and there were some errors. I was forgiving with the fact that they never communicated anything with me and moved on. However for the month of January State Farm only billed me 12 dollars. I paid that and checked my billing statements every day and there was no change, I even checked the portion of the bill that showed my estimated next month's bill which said 114, side note the Mark Welty office told me verbatim that my new payment would be 114 instead of 92 dollars. Come February I was double charged for 206. I called and asked why. The worker Carla said that the billing department made an error and now they added on the extra charge to February's bill. I told her I am not paying all that at once and I will pay it separately because this is their mistake not mine and they've messed up twice now. She very condescendingly told me " you can't think 12 dollars is going to cover it and you need to pay it in full by the due date or we are going to cancel your policy." needless to say I paid it and switched agencies again.
Now, I've been checking the state farm app everyday and keeping up with the bills. I noticed I didn't see anything for the month of march. I knew I should have called but I was hoping with the new agency things would be better. I couldn't have been more wrong. As of 4/9 I opened the app and saw a 306 dollar bill waiting for me. I called them and they said it's because I missed march's payment and because I'm set up for paperless pay I need to check my email. 1) your app should be up to date and show accurate billing info. 2) I just checked my email and I never received a monthly bill for March and there isn't even one on the state farm online website just one for the past bills and payments and the most recent one that was posted for april. Needless to say they never billed me for march and are now double charging me AGAIN. and they now told me my payments would be 140 dollars a month not 114. I asked why just a few months ago I was quoted 114, I was told "we don't know" but some cars were taken off (which I called state farm almost a year ago them to take those off because those were my parents vehicles and we do not want our things tied together. My parents actually didn't even know why we were all lumped together) And she said because of an accident. Also apparently their system is showing they refunded me for those 3 payments when they never did. A nightmare insurance company to say the least.
