1.5 years after extraction and my dentures not only fit so poorly that they fall out when i smile, cough, or laugh they are completely worthless for eating, if i can actually get passed them not matching up well enough to bite through bread then i end up with more food under them than i manage to swallow thanks to the eighth inch gap on my lowers and the flat ridged edge on the top which also constantly scratches the inside of my mouth making everything i eat or drink sting bad enough i frequently just skip meals
They look nothing like my natural teeth, they are shaped and placed completely different, they are very flat, all the same length and they are so short they can't be seen when i talk. leaving me with a obvious "denture look" they are incredibly poor quality material i was told by another dentist they are the equivalent of an economy set which average $400 I PAID $2500 not including extractions. What i find the most upsetting is that even though dr miles assured me he could replicate my natural teeth and would happily adjust any issues or even start over and have another set made until i was happy and with them as soon as i told him my problems he would dismiss me and say he measured my teeth and they are the same. I thought showing him side by side pictures might help him understand but instead he got very short with me, told me i just needed to get used to them and as i tried to tell him that they came back from being realigned at the lab with a crack that catches and cuts my tounge he interrupted me, saying there was no way i could be correct and that the fit and appearance was "about as good as it would get" then literally turned his back as i was saying i was not satisfied and walked out of the exam room.
Myself and most of my family have used dr. Miles for decades and were always very pleased I'm not sure why he seems so unwilling to help me get to the solution i paid for. I voiced my problems with the appearance of the dentures at the preview before my extractions and was assured they would be fixed yet for some reason a year and a half later im stuck with non functional unattractive cheap looking teeth that have created self esteem and eating issues rather than fix them and have been made to feel like i should just take what i get and be happy.
