That was not my first home buying experience; however, it was the worst. I sold my home in Frederick and went and viewed the home in Mooreland. The floors looked even, straight, and perfect. But, the day I moved in, the floors were slightly sagging. As the day went on, so as the floors' sagging. Seller refused to fix the issue. They offered me $1000. It was a joke because it will cost me $15,000-$20,000 to fix the problem, so I tried to back out, and the seller and their realtors threatened me with withholding my funds (I was paying cash for the home), suing me, and kicking me out on the streets. So, I closed under duress. Somehow, the inspector missed the problem. My realtor let me down. The title company let me down. And, the seller is a scumbag. How can they live with themselves? No integrity at all! Could that be because I am a woman, with an accent, not from here and without any blood relatives alive? I don't know...may be. But I know one thing - I definitely was treated wrong here.
