Inn at Arch Cape

We have stayed at the Inn several times now, and it is THE ABSOLUTE BEST place in the Arch Cape/ Cannon Beach area to stay. Not only is it in an amazing location and proximity to the beach, but Chris and Heather are thoughtful with notes and flowers and attentive if you need anything or have any questions. They really do make the stay so wonderful and are so kind if you see them working around the Inn during the day! Each actual room is unique and thoroughly equipped with everything you need from lounging blankets, games, firewood for the fireplace (which they re-stock) and more. Even more, we always make a dinner or two and the kitchen is completely stocked with what you need and there is a great grill on the deck for use. And an absolute must, the rooms have always been amazingly clean and sandless upon checking in, which is a feat for any coastal stay. Also, for people with dogs - it is a dream! We have two golden retrievers, and they love the Inn. It's great we don't have to worry about a weight limit and there are multiple ways to get into most of the rooms for our 14yr old who isn't as good at stairs as he used to be. Even more, they provide towels, bowls, etc for the room. Also, there is also a great rinse station with an upgraded nozzle this summer - works great to get the majority of sand and salt off the dogs and people. The most charming place! Spotless, with every cozy comfort. The grounds and our cottage were immaculate. Location is perfect with quiet beach access 1/2 block away, and close to shops, restaurants, etc. in Cannon Beach. Even though we did not meet the owners because of safety protocols, they were very responsive by text to any questions or needs (delivered extra coffee promptly!) We wish we could have met them; we know they must be great people because of their care of this historic property and its guests!

It was a perfect stay. A nice text reminder gave me everything I needed without searching when I arrived. The lights were on and welcoming after a full day of travel. Everything I needed to make it a wonderful stay. It was a short walk to the beach, and a quick drive to town and spectacular scenery.

I almost hate to write a review because I’d love to keep this place a secret! 😉 We stayed in room 3 and not one hospitable detail was overlooked. Even with Covid protocols, it was so easy to communicate via text with a request for more firewood and coffee pods. Because we were trying to avoid people, we cooked all but one of our meals here and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The walk to the water was short and pleasant. I enjoyed looking at all of the houses on the quiet street flanking the beach!—it’s all just CUTE! We usually rent a house in Manzanita but I’d heard great things about the tide pools here from friends and this location did not disappoint! It was such a fun place to explore with our toddler. At the far left end of the beach, there’s a wonderful stream that runs into the ocean and we spent most of our time there. The whole vibe is much less tourist-y and allowed me to unplug but it’s centrally located for daily adventures to shops & restaurants in Seaside, Cannon Beach, Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, or Tillamook. We will most definitely be back!
