Comfort Suites Columbia River

It's your run of the mill hotel I guess. They keep the front office locked down due to dangerous vagrants. This is not the best way to start the trip. The room was not clean, sheets were stained, pillowcases had the last person's mascara still on them. We left early for this reason and no discounts were offered despite the unclean conditions. Update: we did receive a refund for the night we opted not to stay. Thank you for this.

It's a great hotel if you're ok with supporting thrives. Management actively supports housekeeping leads who steal the very tips you leave for their hardworking, subordinate housekeepers. I challenge you to find an ex housekeeper without their own story

There is so much that I enjoy about this particular hotel in Astoria…the view, the seals, the breakfast, and the friendly staff…I hate leaving such a low review. However, we were quite disappointed that our room was never cleaned once during our four night stay. There is a sign at the front desk that said that rooms would be serviced after a two night stay. When our room was not touched after two nights, I went to the front desk and was assured that it would be cleaned the very next day. That night we, again, came into an untouched-by-maid-service room. I understand staff shortages or needing to cut corners, but please don’t say you’re going to do something and then not follow through. Very disappointing.

Spacious rooms with an on-site pool. Found some used earplugs on the floor just next to the bed which was gross.
