wow, everything was amazing! an amazing view over looking the river with outstanding staff and customer service. Then we had dinner and the food was equally outstanding. YOU NEED TO GO STAY THE NIGHT HERE. a great couples retreat.

I bought a gift certificate there for a family member, but it was very difficult to use it. The View Point Inn staff cancelled their reservation 2 times and the second time, my family member only found out that their reservation was cancelled when they called to confirm. When I called to complain, I was promised that they would be given the largest room at no extra charge. However, a few minutes after they arrived, another couple showed up who had also booked the same room. Both couples had called the same day to confirm their reservations and were given the go-ahead to come. Because my family had arrived first and already had their bags in the room, their reservation was honored. The place is nice, the food wonderful (although VERY expensive), but their business practices are incompetent at best and shoddy at worst. It's a long ways out, so it's very difficult to find an alternative place to stay if you arrive to find you don't have a room waiting, and it seems there is NO WAY to be sure that you do have a room. Oh, they also ended up paying full price for the room. They had a gift certificate for $250 and spent another $150 to stay the night.
