Beautiful area and friendly staff, but the butterfly pavilion - ironically - had no butterflies. I drove two hours in hopes of seeing a monarch - or even a swallowtail or painted lady - and was disappointed to see an enclosure that was completely empty. Edit: As the reply to my review says, call ahead to ensure that there are butterflies before stopping. It's still a beautiful area regardless..

Wonderful place for nature lovers, families, and anyone that wants to see the magic of what Mother Nature provides us. The staff and the volunteers are great and the garden is beautiful!! Make sure to come for Blossoms and Blooms and Fort Umpqua Days!!!

ECEC was well worth the trip from Spfld. ALL volunteers were helpful and very knowledgeable about all plants. Better yet, all proceeds go to help and benefit the community. Thank You Elkton.
