Seamless Dean Flooring

Dean installed approximately 900' of LVT in our basement. The project was completed in a day, left cleaner than they found it and at a very competitive cost. Most importantly we are very happy with Dean's high quality job. This is our fourth project with Dean and we will deffinately have him back for our next one.

Great at his craft, but terrible businessman. Hires his friends. Starts work at 2 or 3 pm. Constantly on his phone. Very slow to get the project done in a timely manner. Doesn't trust others to do simple tasks. Asks for tips. I was so fed up at the end I refused to come home till it was done. They then didn't clean up and left a mess outside my home which caused me to have to pay for a dumpster. Our house was left filthy. And they flicked cigarettes into my lawn and around my property. Never again. Here's a tip Dean, be professional. Also stop wasting time by telling stories. Do the job. Worst 3 weeks of my life. Services: Floor fitting, Installation, Flooring

WORST CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE TO DATE! Do yourself a favor and avoid working with Dean Kociemba and and his crew. I was out of town for military duty and gave them access to my house on 7/12. I officially fired him on 7/23 with his team only having some of the upstairs vinyl plank laid and a single strip on the downstairs of a 1,500 sq. ft. home. They didn’t even start working until 4 days after he “claimed” he would start. Dean also unplugged my Security system multiple times or covered cameras with towels so I was unable to monitor my home even after he left for the day. He is not trustworthy and some of my tools and house items are now “missing”? I fired Dean for many reasons including these main causes. 1. Far overdue on the time agreed for (2 weeks) project completion. Start date was 7/12 -- fired 7/23 2. There are 3 large scratches on the floor upstairs and possibly more. Two rooms have vinyl that was not laid flush and end sticks up. Have to now purchase more material to fix this! 3. No covering was placed over floors to protect them from foot traffic or scratches. I have to buy more material to replace his mistakes and also all of the vinyl that was trampled on downstairs with no covering. The work was not done right but yet Dean was constantly begging for more money to “keep him afloat”. 3. Terrible memory of what I asked for with the project and didn’t even remember that my bathrooms required a completely different vinyl. 4. Limited to no communication throughout project. 5. Extremely unprofessional 6. Messy and loud crew while working, neighbors complained about screws, nails and staples in road. I will reiterate, AVOID DEAN KOCIEMBA and do not hire him for your job unless you want subparo work that takes 3x the amount of time to complete. I had a new contractor in the next day and they fixed Deans’s mistakes and also laid the vinyl for the entire downstairs in one day! You get what you pay for as Dean will happily tell you. WORST CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE EVER! After 4 weeks of “work” I terminated Dean even though he had not completed the final 3 bedrooms and one restroom. I could not take any more. Dean had access to my house since 5/10 while we were out of town on vacation. We returned 11 days later to find nothing was done. His start date changed from 5/17 to 5/24 to 6/1 when he actually started. Missed commitments was a pattern. Dean doesn’t take good notes and his memory is shoddy. This lead to him ordering the wrong color LVT for my bedrooms as well as other disagreements. Despite asking often for updated work orders/contract as things changed Dean not once provided me with a updated work order until after he was terminated—more disagreements. There was no urgency to finish-- typically showing up late (11-2pm). One his phone a lot. Caught him napping twice with his feet propped up on my dining chairs. Woke up to a bark dust smoldering fire in my neighbors yard—same area where he and his crew take smoke breaks. In general I found him Unprofessional—Dean made an offensive comment to my 9 year old son and was offensive to me. My home is 2,300sf. Dean started 6/1 and was terminated 7/2 with 3 bedrooms left undone. He asked for 3 more days to finish (yeah right) but I refused. The new contractor cleaned up his work, performed demolition, installed new LVT and baseboards in 3 bedrooms 1 restroom all in ONE day!! Trust your gut—I didn’t Service: Floor fitting
