First time to visit, and it was so good! Recently relocated from SoCal, so expectations weren't super high. But the sushi was top quality - fresh and flavorful without smothering in sauces. Loved everything we tried! Didn't have to get pricey rolls to get great flavor.Service was quick and kind, and prompt to help with refills and more sushi (because it was too good not order more).Cute little space inside; the dividers in the back help make you feel like you have a little privacy, but you can still see the kitchen which is fun. Overall great experience, will absolutely go back for more!

Umi in Jacksonville is wonderful. The sushi and sashimi are fresh, and the service is sensational. This is my "go to" place to meet friends, take visitors in town and enjoy with my husband. Vegetarian options: There is an entire section of the sushi menu dedicated to vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: I watch a 7 year old boy once a week. It is one of his favorite things to do to come to Umi. The restaurant is great with kids. They have kids' chop sticks and answer all their crazy questions. Dietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant, and Umi will adjust any roll with dairy in it (e.g., cream cheese) to suit my limitation.

amazing food!I went there with my mom for the first time, and it was delicious, the staff was really nice, and the waitress helped cater to my mom's food allergies. 10/10 experience and food
