AmeriGas Propane

Should be zero stars but thats not an option. What a shameless excuse for customer service and a business. My nearly 80 year old dad, who lives alone in the middle of nowhere, ran out of propane. I ended up paying $300 EXTRA DOLLARS to have someone get to his home within 24-48 hours, and an extra $69 because the tank was empty. It is 5 degrees, in the middle of winter, and there was absolutely no concessions made to ensure my father had heat. You should be ashamed of yourself!

This is a terrible company for many reasons. They charge more for their product than the competition. They try to lock you in so you won't switch to another company by charging $220 to pick up their tank after you switch to another provider. Their customer service is designed to not let you access anyone that can help you and when you finally do get a person on the other end of the line they are almost unintelligible because of the strong accent from whatever country they are from. Please, do not patronize this company. They are greedy and unresponsive and will figure out how to milk the last nickel from you. Locally, I found another company that is just the opposite. I hope this review helps some family save some money and frustration. Do not patronize Amerigas. Giving this rating one star is not right because it should be a negative number.
