Floras Lake Kite & Windsurf

Overall would give 3.5 stars if I could, compared to other kite schools. My wife had a lesson here and it went ok. The first half she was on appropriate equipment then the second half she was put on a larger kite and larger board and was far overpowered causing her to get exhausted earlier.

We had a fantastic windsurfing experience. The location is wonderful for beginners and advanced. The rental gear is great condition. We had lessons with Kyle, and he was friendly, fun and encouraging. This location is so much nicer than the Gorge for beginners. It is so much safer because it is a lake but you do not have to stick with a protected cove. You can actually make decent size runs. The prices for lessons are very decent and for rentals the prices are very good, especially if you are a beginner and you need occasional saving when you drifted too much down wind. They will keep an eye out for you and will bring you back by jet ski. This is a service that goes above and beyond what I expect from rental. The atmosphere is laidback and friendly and there are showers and even a sauna to warm up! We will gladly come back!

My friend had windsurfing lessons here and lived the instructor. The school and every one we met were so incredibly nice and helpful. I had misplaced my Kite Pump hose and they left me one right away. The lake is amazing!

Our favorite place to take lessons. Will and his two sons and their friends do a great job at keeping their lessons fun, safe, and affordable. The wind is steady and the water is refreshing.
