        This place is beautiful! My family was on a state park trip and stopped to check it out. The fall colors were so pretty, and there were plenty of leaves on the ground for my kids to have a blast with. It's dog friendly and there are benches all along the water to sit and enjoy beauty and peace, except for the highway right behind you. The only reason I made it 4 stars is because the bathrooms were out of order, I watched at least 4 people stop for it besides us. Anyway, I would definitely come back and try to stay at the campground sometime.

        A jewel, beautiful campsites, trails next to the John Day River, well designed and maintained. Highly recommend.

        Beautiful little roadside state park with nice walking trails along the John Day River. Park is very well manicured and maintained - it's a gem.
