It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. Abbey was welcoming, kind, and thorough. She took the time to actually sit down and ask questions to have a full understanding of what exactly I wanted in addition to photos. And safe to say my hair looks amazing, my balayage and cut are perfect and exactly what I wanted. Im very happy that I chose to come here for my hair!

Probably the single best salon visit I've ever had in my entire life. I am absolutely amazed by the quality and the education that I received about my hair. Thank you!

Abby is such a wonderful stylist, artist and owner. She has a beautiful space and is there to listen and create what you're looking for. I really enjoyed talking with her and she exceeded my expectations, without ego, which i appreciate. I wish I were closer to get my hair done by her again. Not to mention the mean scalp massage. :) She is very skillful, experienced, and a lovely person overall.

TLDR version: If you have long hair and want to keep it, do NOT visit this salon. She chopped 18 of my hair off without my consent, did not provide the services advertised that I paid for, AND blamed me when I complained about it. I paid $140 for a dry cut, received no services advertised with a new client cut (nor did she do the add-ons I had booked), and instead she body-shamed me, gave me the worst haircut I have ever had and told me she should have charged me more. I had very long hair (top of my thighs). I decided to pamper myself and booked a new client session, with a scalp massage and brow tint/wax as add-ons. The website described a spa-like session, aroma therapy, shampoo and acid treatment, and an extended consult, which sounded perfect. I filled out all the new client forms, sent pictures of my hair and inspiration photos, what I wanted done, etc., and paid the $70 deposit for the appointment a week later. When I got there she told me she had been running behind all day, and then asked me what I wanted done. I realized she had not read any of the intake forms I sent before the appointment. I quickly pulled up a couple of photos for inspiration and explained that I wanted long layers. She noted the photos had fringe/bangs and I said I was unsure about that, I was referencing the long layers. She then told me that long hair was not flattering for my body type and that shorter hair would draw away from my midsection. She began telling me how to work out and eat better, how my clothes and hair made me look boxy when I finally interjected. I told her I was sensitive about my weight gain, I wanted to polish my hair to restore my confidence. I told her I had a bad experience when a stylist chopped my hair to my bra line without my consent, which was traumatic. I repeatedly reiterated that I wanted to keep most of the length and do long layers to add some pretty shape. She had me stand up, touched my hips and said she was cutting to that length (about 5-6) which I said was okay. Instead, she cut to my rib line, about 14 and had me sit down. I already knew I was disappointed and tried to stay calm at this point. She then started randomly RAZOR cutting large sections of my hair, which not only hurt, but did not seem normal for my hair type. She could probably see the worry on my face and told me that she was just removing weight. I have always had stylists use thinning shears for that, but I thought she would wash my hair after this step and then go back with shears to clean up and make nice layers. Instead, she flipped my now bra-level length choppy hair forward and asked what I thought. I sat for a minute, not realizing that was it. She was done. No cutting, no shaping, no shampoo/massage, nothing. I got to my car and started crying. My long, healthy hair was now short (for me) and frizzy and frumpy. I emailed her right away. I sent another message in the morning after having a meltdown after getting out of the shower. My hair was even worse after washing it. She finally emailed back and instead of apologizing she BLAMED ME for everything. She said that I didnt know what I had wanted (I said long layers so many times, I dont know how much clearer I could have been) and I caused the consult to go way beyond her 10 minute limit, which is why I didnt get any of the services offered. She was the one jabbering on and asking random questions while giving me unwanted diet advice, I didn't know I was paying for that. She also said my hair was incredibly dense, and she should have charged me more for extra time. The website specifically states extended consult and all lengths and textures, which is why her FAQ justified the high cost for new clients. I was in the salon for about an hour, including waiting. She spent more time curling my hair than cutting it. I paid $140 to have 18 of my identity hastily chopped off, and it was no spa-like treatment. I have been crying for days and do not know whether to trust another salon to fix it or throw it in a bun for a year until it starts growing out.
