Pros: the drinks were very good. They make cool foil animals for your leftovers Cons: food was super greasy so you don't really want to take it with you Service was slow and forgetful (We had to ask for help after being seated for about 20 min, and it went downhill from there.) Honestly one of the worst service.experiences I've had in a long time. And they weren't very busy. Also while many items on menu claimed to be vegetarian, they were cooked on surfaces contaminated with seafood. (Friend has bad allergies and we chose this place for her to be able to eat.)

I ask for my food to be wrapped and I’m told we do boxes. I say, “I saw you wrap other people’s food when we walk in.” And the guy pretends to look for boxes and just walks with no communication. Doesn’t get back to me as I decided to sit back at my seat after waiting for several minutes at the bar. The whole point of this place is for the experience and he ruined it. And when he came back to the bar he never said anything to me. The food is mediocre and inconsistent, after all the appetizers came out after the entree and were Luke warm. I have been here several times and this is pretty much the norm for the food. We were told it was to busy...

Incredibly inhospitable staff did not welcome me nor did they even glance in my direction. The place was empty aside from one group of 6-8 guests. After a few minutes I determined it would be most expedient to seat myself. Don't drink, but I took a seat at the bar hoping the bartender and server would help me out. They were chatting and laughing it up, which is totally fine. I'm a big fan of both chatting and laughing. However, these two had not a care in the world to simply offer words of welcome. Too "cool" to care. I had dropped in to place an order to-go just shortly after they opened. Sadly, the only person who acknowledged me (sorta) was the host who brought me a menu and poured room temperature water into my glass, though words had escaped her. Unfortunately she walked away quickly without any eye contact (awkward). She also neglected to communicate that it may be a good time for one of the servers to, well... serve. I was no more than 10 feet from two people incapable of a simple greeting. I raised a hand and gave a sufficiently loud, yet polite, "hey guys, can I ord-'"... when the bartender walked quickly to the kitchen passing in front of me while the other turned his back to me and was using his phone. I ended up leaving because it was clear they weren't interested in helping me. Just a couple of horribly rude, obnoxious, and incompetent dudes made the Montage appear to be an unworthy place to dine. Our city is full of a variety of great spots to grab a bite. These places serve killer food and are staffed with kickass humans who treat their guests with kindness and respect and the gratitude they deserve. It's too bad Le Bistro Montage isn't keeping up with the competition. Pull the weeds before they seed.
