Dylan Doran: Allstate Insurance

After a single year of being insured by Allstate (home and auto) I get a call from them stating they will drop me if I don't replace my entire roof within a month and a half. That's a huge expense! With no prior warning! The whole idea of insurance is to protect a person from huge, unexpected expenses. Allstate has done the opposite - dropped a huge, unexpected expense in my lap in a time frame that is impossible to meet. The roof is fine, by the way, absolutely no urgent need to replace it. Just some sort of bureaucracy that the agents can't seem to make sense of, much less explain. In conclusion, if you like surprises (the kind that keep you up at night worrying), poor communication (but with a lot of spam in your inbox), and useless agents, I can't recommend Allstate enough. If that doesn't sound like what you're looking for in an insurance company, though, I advise you look elsewhere. I will be.
