I took my '99 GMC Yukon into Howell's. They replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS) and fuel pump. The truck immediately threw some more codes so I changed all the O2 sensors, spark plugs, cables, cap. Which landed the truck with 2 lean codes: 171, 174. I returned to Howell's only to have them charge me $90 to say nothing was wrong. After 8 months of engine lights, I took it into a reputable shop and replaced the fuel pump as it bled down. That seem to solve the issue but soon the lean codes returned. The reputable shop spent 6 hours and found that the MAFS was bad. They also didn't charge for the service unlike Howell's. I replaced the MAFS in 5 minutes and the engine light has been off ever since. Originally Howell's said "nothing was wrong" and it took longer than 12 months to find out that all their parts were bad. Howell's supplier (Napa) should make this right but like a lot of rip off shops Howell's are saying there is nothing they can do. If they make this right, I will remove my review but until then I would take your rig somewhere else.
