Huge thank you to the Sunriver police for being so quick to check on the well-being of my daughter on March 8th. Thanks you again! It meant more to me than words can express!!

police officers are supposed to enforce the law not break it: officer hughes is profiling and now we have the proof. Last night the officer illegally pulled over me and my daughter in my beat up car . I told everybody to watch me when I left picking up my daughter from the local RatHole bar , I told the people at the bar that if they watch I know i'll be pulled over because of how my car looked. Sure enough the officer pulled me over and flat out lied about his reason for pulling me over. This my dear friends in public is against the law, we need to have police do their job not harass the local people that work or don't drive the nicest cars. I don't like having my rights violated.

Not a very good department. If you can call it that. I don't understand how an unincorporated area of Deschutes county has it's own so called police department and does not use the sheriff. I have had some decent dealings with a few officers, but there are a few bad apples ruining the station for everyone one else. Their priorities are all out of wack as well. They sit around trying to find the smallest infractions and the few bad apples have serious attitudes and complexes. Honestly the sheriff needs to handle this area, or the resort needs to make sure these employees are not harassing customers and more importantly, locals. I hope they improve drastically!

After my iPhone went missing on Mt Bachelor and we were able to GPS track it to a specific address in Sunriver, I phoned the Sunriver PD. Within 3 minutes, Sargent Joe was at our door. After the GPS target started moving, a small car chase ensued all the way out to the highway, and the Sargent pulled over three (!)  cars. The phone was retrieved, justice was served, and our family has quite the story to take home with us. Thanks Sargent Joe, you rock!!
