Rental had very old linens on bed, very old mattresses, old furniture, very outdated. When we drove up to front door we thought we had wrong house! Very bad exterior!! Ok indoors basically but

We just finished a stay with a Meredith lodging property. We wanted to love the house, but something major came up. When we booked the house, we searched for houses for 8 people and this came up. We were very excited for the bunk room shown in the pictures because we were traveling with another family and their kids and they were excited for a sleepover together. We got to the house the bunks were GONE! There were just two twin beds. Our kids ended up sleeping on the floor, then in parent beds. I emailed the first day, the response had zero apology and said the house slept 6, even though it said 8 when we booked it. I replied back stating that their pictures show bunks and the description even said a bunk room that sleeps 4. They never responded to my email. The next day (our last day) someone dropped off air mattresses! There was no room for them and it was too little too late. I still have not received any apology or compensation for their error. We will not rent from Meredith again. Our kids had fun, but they missed having their sleepover with their friends. Also, after leaving a negative review on the house we stayed at, they deleted that review. They are not honest with their business practices.
