The First Need XL is the best water filter I have used ... period. It doesn’t just filter for large organisms like crypto or girdia but also can remove chemical crud that other filters won’t. I used it on a Trek through PA on the AT and it worked like a champ. It fits wide mouth Nalgene bottles and MSR Dromedary bags nicely and has a screw in point for smaller mouth containers. A bit heavy but much faster than chemical treatment and it gets rid of the other non natural crud like herbicides that turn up in water now - particularly in lower areas. I’ll also use it next year through hiking the PCT. I strongly recommend this product for water purification.

I am very pleased with our Nature Pure filter system and dedicated faucet. I now have drinking water on the boat which enhances our cruising. We no longer need to board cases of water. Also, the install was simple.

The Seagull IV in my basement has serviced my wet bar drinking water and continuous ice maker for 15 years! We recently did a complete kitchen renovation and added a second sink and another icemaker for which I purchased 2 Seagull units. I continue to be thrilled with the complete experience!
