A1 Reglaze - Bathtub Reglazing Philadelphia

AVOID THIS COMPANY! EDIT- 2 Day Post "Pointless" Review- I was hoping it would be a positive one but it's not...shocking!! They couldn't call us to resolve the issue, but made sure to text us to tell us "Good Luck" with the dispute we filed with our credit card. How professional! I also like the attempted sarcasm with the "I'm glad you pointed out that we came back immediately not only once, but twice "as if that's a good thing. The fact they had to come back multiple times should tell you everything you need to know when considering hiring them. They act like they are doing you a favor coming back to fix all their mistakes! I understand "paint settles" over time, but the issues we have are 100% not an example of that, it's just a blatant disrespect as a company to your consumer. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! We read the reviews, and all looked great, but our experience was far from that! We went to check out their work after the first technician was there and the MANY FLAWS were immediately noticeable. Running and chipping paint, spots missed, peeling etc. It was clear that the area was not properly prepped prior to being reglazed. They were very quick to send someone out to Fix The problems but that work was also non satisfactory. Still had running paint, peeling, missed spots and so on. We finally spoke with someone on the phone and requested a manager come out because we wanted to point out all our issues and sending photos through text messages didnt seem to be efficient at this point. They sent out one of their best techs who seemed extremely knowledgeable. He advised that the job that was done there was HORRIBLE! He went as far as saying that whoever the techs were that did the prior work needed to be RETRAINED. He also told us that they didnt even mix the color and glaze correctly from the beginning!! He assured us we would be happy when he was done. We werefor about a day until the tub started chipping! Mind you, NO one lives in the house at this time and there were no other contractors that have been there since A-1 was there. We called and asked them to return to fix the problem, but now A-1 is stating its not their issue and someone else must have chipped the tub. This is beyond ridiculous and they need to be held accountable. We are out money and our tub will just continue to chip and peel because of this incompetent company. Do yourself a favor, and find someone else to do your work, because this place is not it!!

We had our 1989 steel tub reglazed by A1 about a month ago. Their scheduler, Kim, is quick to respond and took our concerns seriously. She also followed up quickly after work was complete to provide photos and instructions. Our tech followed suit-- quick, communicative, and locked the door behind him when he left. We were out of the house for 9hrs (im pregnant), but A1 recommends 6hrs. This is a great inexpensive alternative to a full tub replacement. Some advice to other customers-- if you will be painting the bathroom after the tub is glazed, do NOT put blue tape on the tub. We have to do some touch ups, now Overall, great work and we are excited to have this tub redone for our daughter due in August!
