General Drain Cleaning and Plumbing

We had a back-up of our main sewer line on a Sunday night. Called around to a few places that either didn't answer or wanted to book us days out. Mike responded right away to our call and came right over after finishing a job nearby. Despite being a cold, rainy night, Mike worked till close to midnight to resolve our sewer issues. Truly a nice guy, reasonably priced and didn't mind the hundred different questions we asked him. Couldn't recommend more. Service: Drain unblocking

Mike initially came out to clear a sewer back-up. He worked very hard late into the night to clear out the drain using a hydrojet. I paid $460 plus an additional $100 for the extra time spent. Not inexpensive, but he worked hard to solve the problem. He said that if the clog returned, he would return to unclog for free and possibly camera the pipe since a reclog would suggest a problem with the pipe (and which I assumed would have been an additional charge, assuming he could borrow a camera since his was broken). All good up to that point. A few days later, the pipe reclogged. I called him 7 am; he said to call back at 9 am; he then said he was at a job, but that he would then contact me between 3 pm and 5 pm and would stop by that evening. I never heard from his either by call or text. tried to call him/text several times from 5 pm to 7 pm to get an update whether he was/wasn't coming that evening and/or whether he would come by the next day. Bottom line, nice guy, worked hard when he was here, but never made the effort to follow up with me the second time. It is not pleasant to have to chase and chase, especially when you are dealing with an emergency situation like a sewer pipe, so I threw in the towel on Mike and was forced to call another company. So in sum, I would have given Mike 5 stars for the first visit/0 stars for the follow-up. I am sure Mike knows his stuff, but I do think it makes sense in the future to deal with a company that isn't reliant on one person for follow-up Service: Sewer repair

I can't recommend this plumbing company enough! I had a huge issue in my basement with an undetermined cause. I was very worried and tried calling many companies but stumbled upon General Drain Cleaning and Plumbing's phone number. From my first call, I knew this company was trustworthy and reliable. Instead of an answering service, my call was received by a personable representative who listened to my issue and responded appropriately with recommendations and a friendly rapport. Mike came within a few hours and was so knowledgable. He got out of his truck and immediately observed potential issues just by looking at the street and neighboring sidewalks - which actually turned out to be the exact problem that I was facing. I was able to ask numerous questions and Mike was patient, understanding, and able to thoroughly explain what was going on and what I needed to do. I will refer General Drain Cleaning and Plumbing to anyone for the rest of my life because I am just so grateful that they took the time to actually determine the cause of the problem instead of offering a quick solution that would bite me in the butt in the long run.
